William Flanagan

Designer

Born in Canada and raised in Utah, William’s early connection to varied terrain continues to inform an approach to design that is both responsive and enduring.

William’s experience spans architecture, construction, and development—offering a comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle. He approaches each project with a clear understanding of how design decisions affect lived experience, allowing him to navigate complexity with focus and intention. His work is guided by a thoughtful balance of vision and functionality, translating client goals into spaces that are purposeful, well-crafted, and deeply connected to their setting.

He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado Boulder, complemented by studies in commercial real estate and business.

Outside the studio, William reconnects through time spent in the landscape—kayaking rapids, fishing eddies, and moving through alpine terrain by bike, foot, and ski. Community engagement provides a meaningful counterbalance to his practice, from building homes with Habitat for Humanity and Seattle’s Block Project, to teaching alpine skiing to veterans through the National Ability Center.
