Matt Milne

Matt brings passion for site-specific architecture and progressive design to every project. Growing up in New Hampshire, Matt was inspired by mountain landscapes and vernacular architecture from an early age, which drew him to the Colorado Rockies.

At CCY, Matt works on a wide selection of projects, ranging from residences to hospitality. Melding his passion for natural environments with his sensitive approach to creating built environments that carefully consider the land, Matt offers insightful perspective in his project collaborations.

While working towards a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver, Matt developed a passion for high-performance and detail-oriented design practices. During his time at CU Denver, he was a participant in the Design Build program with Colorado Building Workshop, where he worked on the award-winning Auraria Bike Pavilion, recognized by Architizer A+ awards program in 2021. Prior to CCY, Matt worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory with a focus on Commercial Building Energy Systems optimization, where he was able to bring innovative thinking into his design approach.

After living in Colorado for eight years, Matt has developed his passion for adventure. Outside the office, Matt enjoys any activity that is outdoors and allows him to explore new places, especially skiing, biking, running and surfing.
