Susan Touchette
Architect

Susan has been an integral part of the CCY design team and interiors studio since 1997. She has a deep knowledge of design for mountain communities stemming from years of working on complex project criteria and construction limitations, and she is an exceptionally strong communicator; both of these skills result in compelling design solutions on a diverse range of projects.
Her understanding and strong aesthetics towards interior architecture and fixed finishes complements CCY’s residential and hospitality work. Susan’s ability to connect with clients and quickly discern what sets them apart allows her to assemble material palettes unique to each project. Some of Susan’s resort/hospitality and on-mountain amenity projects include Aspen Mountain’s Sundeck Restaurant (a LEED Pilot Program and among the first certified buildings), The Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center and the Elk Camp Restaurant, both at Snowmass, and Slick Rock Village Green at Mountain Air Country Club in Burnsville, North Carolina.
Susan’s skills and knowledge make her an important mentor, advisor, and resource to the firm’s team. She believes it is the relationships we build that bring true meaning and success to the collective works we create.
When not in the office or spending time with her family, Susan is a community advocate, volunteering her time and efforts towards The Basalt Education Foundation and WindWalkers Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy Center non-profit.
