Lydia Szewczyk

Lydia’s passion for the built environment developed over a thoughtful journey of work and life experiences. In the midst of her liberal arts degree in Art History, she ventured to Washington, D.C., to immerse herself in an economic and public policy world, focusing on the built environment. There, she became increasing aware of architecture as the natural bridge for her art background, urban interests, and sustainability goals on matters of community and ecology. Shortly after receiving her Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis in 2012, Lydia moved to Colorado where she began her architecture career.

Lydia's work experience includes residential, multi-family, and commercial development projects. She also brings great enthusiasm in exploring a sensitivity between the natural environment and architecture. Her design sensibility is rooted in art and community, where crafting thoughtful and creative solutions is at the heart of her process. Lydia received her licensure as an architect in 2017.

Lydia is passionate about transportation and its important role in shaping the built environment. You can often find her on a RFTA bus or on the bike trails around town.
