Alex Griffin

Alex’s creative interests have been fueled by the built environment in New England from an early age. He believes that the contrast and balance between old and new, natural and man-made, big and small, is where magic happens. He embraces the inevitability of change and believes it is where progress and innovation are created and discovered.

Alex earned a Master of Architecture degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. With a design background focused on high-end residential and adaptive re-use projects in Boston’s historic neighborhoods, and a genuine need to explore the great outdoors, Alex finds balance living and working in the Aspen valley. At Cottle Carr Yaw, he takes great care in integrating design decisions and collaborating with the Interior and Architecture studios.

When he is not testing the combination of exterior/interior material selections or working out the complex details of a flush door threshold, he can be found mountain biking, backpacking, and getting lost skiing the glades.
